Attached are a series of screen captures showing the settings you'll want to use in Astrometrica if you are using LightBuckets LB-0001, MPC Code H11. As mentioned in the Using Astrometrica video tutorial in the LightBuckets Support area, I don't like to use Astrometrica's built-in email system for sending observations to the MPC.
If you want to send your report through your own email client, just copy and paste the MPC Report data from Astrometrica into your email client (make sure everything is formatted correctly or they may bounce it back to you), put "Observations" as the subject, and address the message to 'mpc@cfa.harvard.edu' (no quotes). I also highly recommend you browse around the Minor Planet Center Website to see all of the tools and information available to you. One area in particular that you'll want to pay attention to is the information on Minor Body Astrometry. Happy Hunting! |

I'd just like to point out that you may need to change the value of Position Angle to match that of your telescope run.
More importantly, if you want to submit your data to MPC, you should really set the value of Astrometric Limit in the "Residuals" section to much lower than 1.00" (I use a value between 0.25" and 0.4" depending on seeing). The aim is to have data reduction with dRA and dDe with about 0.1". Occasionally Astrometrica won't be able to match stars, in which case, you'll need to increase this value (until a match is produced) |

Hello All!
Does anyone have the same data and/or screen shots for the South Alpen site (LB-0002 thru LB-0004)? It would be great to use Astrometrica for images from there, but I am stuck in trying to set up this data, not knowing all the important details that need to be entered. If anyone can post this info, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks, and "Clear skies"! Bob |

Thanks All!
One last question on this subject: Is the MPC code for LB-0001 H11, but B10 for LB-0002 through LB-0004? Thanks very much, and happy imaging! Bob |
