Welcome to the new-look LightBuckets
December 09, 2009
As you can see by the new home page, LightBuckets has changed. While we think that the new design looks good, the purpose was really to present information in a more organized and consistent way. We have put together a brief introductory video to show you some of the new site features.
We wanted our experienced customers to be able to get in and start imaging right away, which is why we have the new observatory browser on the home page.
For newcomers, we want to provide more information about how to use LightBuckets, so you will see a "mini FAQ" on the home page that provides you with information about points, managing your imaging runs, and retrieving your image data. Of course, there is an expanded FAQ in the Support section with details on lots of topics.
You will also notice "?" in squares in the upper right corner of some panels, especially in the Use Telescopes area. By browsing over the squares you will see pop-up help giving you more information about that particular area. We will continue to expand the pop-up help as we see areas where customers need more guidance.
The Account pages and in particular, RunTrack, have been greatly expanded. We are capturing even more sensor data that is available during and after your imaging run takes place. Our goal is to provide you with as much "on the ground" information as possible.
There are many other changes and even more planned. You will continue to see LightBuckets updated as we receive feedback from you and also as we implement things that are on our ever increasing to-do list.
Please be sure to give us your feedback either in the Forums or directly at support@lightbuckets.com.
All the best,
Steve
